Intense Pulsed Light Therapy is a  clinical breakthrough in hair removal – pulsed light treats unwanted hair with quick and safe bursts of light, yielding permanent hair reduction and long term hair removal anywhere on the body.
 
How does it work?
During treatment the pigment within hair absorbs the light and converts it to heat, which destroys the hair follicle. Thus, the hair follicle cannot produce a new hair. Depending on the size of the area treated, the procedure can take anywhere from 10 – 45 minutes.
 
How many treatments are necessary?
All hair follicles go through periods of dormancy and growth. IPL only affects hair follicles that are actively producing hair at the time of treatment. For this reason, treatment must be repeated until all hair follicles have passed through the growing phase. Generally 3- 6 treatments are needed at intervals of between one to three months. A small amount of hair may persist.
